Short bio
Penny Spirou holds a PhD in Contemporary Musical Biopics, however, has branched out to publish research on music in animated films, the horror film genre, as well as comedy and parody. Penny has taught students at UNSW, Macquarie University and most recently at AFTRS where she was also the Student Learning Support Manager. Penny is currently working on a book chapter examining the Wolf Creek films in the context of Australian horror cinema and serial killer narratives.
