Short bio
Over the past nine years, Eli has taught both senior and junior classes to appreciate and value film as an enriching and engaging textual form. She holds a Master of Letters (Literature), in which she explored the representation of female sexuality in contemporary literature. As a passionate advocate for the exploration of film in the English classroom, Eli has since been a leading voice in pedagogical innovation, citing the power of cinema to capture students’ imaginations while also having the potential to subvert their expectations.
