Short bio
Heather is currently Leader of Learning – English at McCarthy Catholic College and has taught English and History for over twenty years. She has introduced a number of learning opportunities for students to construct films and documentaries to explore the students’ understanding of their lives and world. She is passionate about students developing the creative skills and knowledge to tell their stories. Working with a curriculum that critiques and values the potential of documentary, film and digital forms is exciting and challenging. Empowering students to not only be critical consumers but considered constructors of these forms is a delightful privilege.
