Short bio
Achala’s love for films defines her. From very early on, she knew this was the field she wanted to work in. She started her journey in India as an executive producer for a television channel before coming to Australia, where she broadened her scope and tried her hand at film distribution. She has over 13 years of experience in this field, and has been a part of the organising team for the Indian Film Festival in Australia. She has also been instrumental in bringing Marathi language films to Australia and New Zealand. Currently, she is heading the film distribution operations of Zee Studios International for Australia and New Zealand.
