Short bio
Peter Schembri lectures at Queensland University of Technology, teaching into film and screen subjects (film and TV genres and styles, screen analysis). He has a masters in film genre studies, his PhD dealt with historical TV miniseries. He is presently interested in how science fiction on moving image platforms (film, TV, online, games) intersects with More-Than-Human-Futures. Peter has been a convention presenter, panel member, and media interviewee dealing with speculative fiction. He was the tertiary rep on the Queensland Secondary School Studies Film and TV Review Panel. Before his stint at Queensland University of Technology and education, he worked in advertising.
