Short bio
Ruth Smith is a qualified school teacher with a passion for fostering and encouraging the love of film in her students. Ruth’s experience as a Head Teacher of English has allowed her to teach the analysis and creation of film to students across all secondary years. In particular, Ruth has helped integrate technologies in the classroom, empowering students with software including iMovie and GoAnimate, and challenging them to develop adaptations or appropriations of classical fiction. Ruth is excited to transfer her skills from the classroom to the ATOM film awards.
