Short bio
Aurora Scheelings is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with national and international broadcast credits. She has worked as a freelance director/camera operator, an independent documentary filmmaker on broadcast commissioned films as well as an in-house documentary producer for Australian public broadcasting.
She holds a PhD in documentary film and her interests include traditions, conventions and contemporary trends. Aurora is passionate about the future of the craft and has been an ATOM Awards judge since 2012. She is currently a lecturer in Screen Media Production at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
