Short bio
While Eli now leads pedagogical innovation in the secondary setting, she is an English teacher at heart. Over the past eight years, she has taught both senior and junior classes to appreciate and value film as an enriching and engaging textual form. She holds a Master of Letters (Literature), in which she explored the representation of female sexuality in contemporary literature. She is a passionate advocate for the exploration of film in the English classroom, as it so aptly captures students’ imagination while also having the potential to subvert their expectations.
