Peter Schembri lectures at Queensland University of Technology, teaching into film and screen subjects (genres, styles, and histories); as well as teaching into a first-year screenwriting subject. With a masters in film genre studies, he undertakes screen genre analysis across moving image platforms. His PhD was in Australian historical TV miniseries. Peter has been a presenter and panel member at film, TV, video game and popular culture conventions. He was the tertiary rep on the Queensland Secondary School Studies Film and TV Review Panel. Before his stint at QUT and education, he worked in advertising.
