Short bio
Kate is an Australian writer and academic based in New York who writes about art, film and culture. She has a PhD in Art History and Film Studies from The University of Sydney, where she taught for many years. Kate has written for publications such as The Atlantic, i-D, and Marie Claire, and has two upcoming books: Identity, Community & Australian Artists, 1890–1914 (Bloomsbury, 2019) and Claire Denis: Trouble Every Day (Auteur, 2020).
