Rose Woodcock is a lecturer in Screen and Design in the School of Communication and Creative Arts at Deakin University, Melbourne. Rose specialises in animation theory and practice and creative art methods. Her research includes investigating the possibilities of visual perception and optics, animation and movement, and the inherent ambiguity of pictorial objects. She has recently published articles on 3D stereo-imaging and perception in cinema, and on the ontology of motion capture. Rose is currently involved in projects in Australia and Japan that explore urban environments as fields for creative encounters.
