Short bio
Michael’s short film The Projectionist premiered at the 40th New York Film Festival in 2002, and subsequently screened at over seventy festivals worldwide – including in Edinburgh, Moscow and Berlin. The film was awarded the Grand Prix at the 2003 Tampere Film Festival and went on to win a further ten international awards in Valladolid, Los Angeles, Nashville, Melbourne and Sydney. Michael holds a Masters degree in Film and Television, specialising in directing (AFTRS), and currently teaches filmmaking and directing. He has presented programs of his work to audiences in St. Petersburg, Zagreb, Dresden, Telluride, Szolnok (Hungary) and London.
